谷Cốc 神thần 不bất 死tử ， 是thị 謂vị 玄Huyền 牝tẫn. 。
Cốc thần (Đạo) bất tử, đó là Huyền tẫn (2 quẻ càn-khôn).
The valley spirit dies not, aye the same; The female mystery thus do we name.

玄Huyền 牝tẫn 之chi 門môn ， 是thị 謂vị 天thiên 地địa 根căn. 。
Cửa Huyền tẫn chính là gốc rễ trời đất.
Its gate, from which at 1st they issued forth, Is called the root from which grew heaven and earth.

綿Miên 綿miên 若nhược 存tồn. ， 用Dụng 之chi 不bất 勤cần. 。
Miên man trường tồn, dùng không bao giờ hết.
Long and unbroken does its power remain, Used gently, and without the touch of pain.
