反Phản 者giả 道Đạo 之chi 動động. ；
Trở lại là cái động của Đạo.
The movement of the Dao By contraries proceeds;

弱Nhược 者giả 道Đạo 之chi 用dụng. 。
Yếu mềm là cái dụng của Đạo.
And weakness marks the course Of Dao’s mighty deeds.

天Thiên 下hạ 萬vạn 物vật 生sinh 於ư 有hữu, ，
Thiên hạ vạn vật sinh từ có.
All things under heaven sprang from It as existing (and named);

有hữu 生sinh 於ư 無vô. 。
Có sinh từ Không.
that existence sprang from It as non-existent (and not named).
