In Praise of the Lotus Sutra

六Lục 萬vạn 餘dư 言ngôn 七thất 軸trục 裝trang
Hơn sáu muôn lời, thành bảy cuốn
With more than sixty thousand characters compiled in seven scrolls,

無Vô 邊biên 妙diệu 義nghĩa 廣quảng 含hàm 藏tàng
Rộng chứa đựng vô biên nghĩa mầu
Boundless wonderful meanings are contained within this treasury.

喉Hầu 中trung 甘Cam 露Lộ 涓quyên 涓quyên 潤nhuận
Trong cổ nước cam lồ rịn nhuần
It imbues the mind with sweet dew that is constantly nourishing,

口Khẩu 內nội 醍Đề 醐Hồ 滴tích 滴tích 涼lương
Trong miệng chất đề hồ nhỏ mát
And anoints the crown with the finest ghee, every drop cool and refreshing.

白Bạch 玉Ngọc 齒Xỉ 遍biên 流lưu 舍Xá 利Lợi
Bên răng ngọc trắng tuôn xá lợi
From the Buddha’s pure and precious words streamed forth this pristine sharira;

紅Hồng 蓮Liên 舌Thiệt 上thượng 放phóng 毫hào 光quang
Trên lưỡi sen hồng phóng hào quang
The Master’s tongue, like a red lotus petal, emitted a hair-mark light.

假Giả 饒nhiêu 造tạo 罪tội 過quá 山sơn 嶽nhạc
Dầu cho tạo tội hơn núi cả
Should one create offenses to an extent as great as the mountains,

不Bất 須tu 妙Diệu 法Pháp 兩Lưỡng 三Tam 行hàng
Chẳng nhọc Diệu Pháp vài ba hàng
All it takes to eradicate are a few lines from the Wonderful Dharma.

南Nam 無mô 法Pháp 華Hoa 會Hội 上Thượng 佛Phật 菩Bồ 薩Tát  (×3)
